"This apartment is a real gem and we will not search any further where to stay when coming back to Buenos Aires (hopefully at the end of this year). It’s a difficult choice which of the amenities of this nice place to highlight first. If you like to travel in style you will be smitten with the tasteful decoration, the well preserved period furniture and (why not) the beds, offering a comfort only to be found at home and – if you are lucky - in a five star hotel.

We had rented the apartment for a couple of weeks over the year end 2007 while the outside temperature reached scorching 107 degrees Fahrenheit / 42° C. But the efficient A/C kept the place comfortably cool … my goodness, what a relief when returning from your excursions.

What else do you need? a kitchen … it’s there, well equipped, clean and everything functioning immaculately which, of course, also holds true for the bathrooms.

You require any kind of assistance ? it’s there; Friends of the owner live in the same building and if needed they are caring as if you were part of the family.

As they say, whenever you rent a place, there are three crucial issues to bear in mind: (1) location, (2) location, (3) location. Here you got it. Within ten minutes walk you reach av. 9 de Julio, av. Santa Fe, the Milongas at El Beso, Porteño y Bailarin e.a. as well as the shoe shops Neo Tango and Tango Leike on Sarmiento, just to mention a few “landmarks”. You don’t like to walk … take a bus, there are some twenty lines passing by in a vicinity of 100 meters of the building or dive into the subway station just 50 meters away.
